A Glasgow woman has been left shaken after thieves broke into the Parkview Gate house in Hogganfield

The men forced their way into the 42-year-old’s home at Parkview Gate in Hogganfield at around 6.15pm last night.

They threatened the woman before fleeing on foot with a quantity of cash and jewelry.

We think they passed through Riddrie Park Cemetery.

Police are now appealing for witnesses, particularly those who live near the cemetery and who may have seen the men.

Detective Sergeant Neil Guy said: “The woman was unharmed but was extremely shaken by the experience.

“We are appealing for witnesses, particularly those who live near the cemetery, who may have seen three men at the times in question walking or running through the cemetery, including whether any suspicious vehicles were seen in the vicinity.

“We are continuing the thorough CCTV and door-to-door investigations and there will be additional patrols in the area.”

The three men are described as white Europeans, between 20 and 30 years old, and they were wearing dark clothes with their faces covered.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 2992 from Friday April 15.
